9/11 Century

You see a lot riding 100 miles through New York City. This Saturday, 9/11 we did just that, we rode from The Bowery, to Prospect Park, to Coney Island, over the bridge to Rockaway Beach, though Queens to Flushing Meadows, by the new Mets Stadium, over the Tri-Bourough into the Bronx, checked out the new Yankee Stadium, the Bronx Zoo, Van Cortland Park, to the George Washington Bridge, and finally rode all the way back downtown to Ground Zero before jumping on the Staten Island Ferry.

During our journey we saw a biker gang picnic, a teenage rumble in the BX, a rave under a bridge, some weird trance party on a deserted island, got lost in the woods, ate tacos and Dominican food, rode the ferry, flipped over the handlebars(twice), had a toast with a few Firefighters and checked out the lights of the Twin Towers.

Thanks to Mike Saes, Craig Wetherby, Bridge Runners, Bridge Rollers, Jack GreerDonalray, Tim Brodhagen, Jess, Cedric, Khari, Kier, Anna, Marysol, Sarah, Chris and everyone else who came on the adventure with us.

Until next year….. Never Forget.
